Fall is in the Air

With the temperature still reaching 80, it doesn’t feel like Fall is in the Air here in Mid-Missouri. But all the dust from crops being harvested and my husband’s daily sneezing from ragweed pollen tells me otherwise.

Regardless of the temperature, I couldn’t resist putting my Fall decorations out about a month ago. Have I said I love seasonal decorating? On a budget? Let me show you!

My 2025 Small Budget Look

The living room.

Wal-Mart has beautiful outdoor pillows that are normally $5 each. My daughter had a booth at the Hatton Craft Fair where she had a large porch swing for sale that she had made. To stage it, she threw a quilt over the back and displayed these two fall pillows. A friend stopped by and wanted to buy the pillows. She said they weren’t marked but she’d give $15 for each. Lori kindly refused and advised her to go check out the outdoor pillow bin at her local Wal-Mart!

On Sofa Table – Vase – Dollar General $3. Pumpkins & Ribbon – Dollar Store $1.25 each.

Corner cabinet. Pumpkins – Wal-Mart 15 for $5. Box – Dollar General $2. Left pitcher – Wedding gift from my piano teacher, Mrs. Statten. Middle – Artificial succulent Dollar General $1. Right pitcher – Christmas gift from my sister, Shirley.

The flowers on the hutch are an artificial bouquet that I purchased at Wal-Mart for $8. I cut the bouquet apart so I could easily arrange the flowers wherever I wanted them. The sign on the door was $1.25 at the Dollar Store. The mantle wreath is the one I hang for summer. I just wound a strand of $1.25 Dollar Store leaves around it and hung with a $1.25 ribbon I also bought from there.

This hutch is seen as you enter the front door of the house. The Thankful sign and the candle were each $5 from Dollar General.

The Fall “Thankful” and “Blessings” plates were $5 each from Wal-Mart.

My mom painted this photo frame and the plate. I get them out for Fall. The photo is my grandma on her 100th birthday.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my decorations. If you haven’t yet, check out Dollar General for your last minute decorations. They still have Fall things and now also have their beautiful Christmas decorations out. It’s my favorite store for buying decorations on a budget. Dollar General

I’d love to hear where you budget shop for decorations. Tell me in the comments.

And like always, please press like on this page and share it with your friends. Thanks!

P.S. Yes, I have 3 hutches in my dining area. But it’s a big room and really isn’t overcrowded or overwhelming!
